Dr. Alex Schuh is the founder and Director of School Frontiers, LLC, a premier education research and evaluation firm in Bala Cynwyd, PA. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology (Policy Research, Evaluation and Measurement) from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Trustee Fellow.
He is an expert data analyst, with extensive knowledge of school performance metrics, survey research and cognitive assessments. Dr. Schuh’s graduate work focused on test construction and administration, statistical analysis of school data, and computer supported collaborative learning (CSCL/CSCW). Dr. Schuh earned his B.A. from Yale University in Anthropology, with a concentration in Native American Studies. He is an experienced evaluator, with over 25 years of experience directing quantitative and qualitative evaluation research projects for government agencies, schools, and community-based organizations. He has been qualified as an expert witness in testing and school measurement in multiple legal cases. Dr. Schuh is devoted to increasing educational opportunities for all children. As part of that effort, he has helped to design and establish more than 40 charter schools across the country, including the first residential charter school, several online charter schools, a bilingual (English/Spanish) virtual school, and a charter school based on the principles of emotional intelligence.
